The Friends of Cedars Park are a group of volunteers dedicated to preserving and improving Cedars Park in Cheshunt and supporting the local community. The group was formed in 2005 to support the maintenance of the park following government budget cuts to green spaces. There is a strong community element in this local park and public involvement is an important part of its management, alongside the existing Grounds Maintenance carried out by BEST Environmental (Broxbourne Borough Council).
What does the Friends Group do?
Carry out various activities and projects to improve the park for the public
Support local people through regular clubs and events
Provide assistance with grounds maintenance
Preserve historic elements
Help to achieve the park's continued Green Flag Award
Maintain Cedars Park as a community hub for local people
