Personal Memorials

Please refer to the Arboretum page for the latest map of the park zones. For the Great War memorial, please see Great War Centennial Corner.

Many people choose to remember a relative or friend who has passed away by having a memorial bench or tree planted in Cedars Park. In order to make it easier for visiting relatives and friends to find the memorials of their loved ones, they have been listed on this page, and a Google Earth map with photos of plaques is also being produced as a community project.

The data below has been compiled by Tarant Hobbs and Jake Gutteridge. Broxbourne Council claim to hold their own memorial list, however this is not publicly accessible and we have been unable to access it on request, hence the creation of this independent listing.

Corrections and additions are welcomed by e-mail to cedarspark@mail.com.

Currently, most listings only contain the name of the person being remembered, however we are in the process of directly copying the contents of each plaque, which will be shown in italic script.

This list was last updated 31 December 2021.

If you have any information about those remembered against numbers at the base of memorial trees, kindly advise us so that a comprehensive listing may be produced.
